About large format printing
Large format covers work meant to be read across a room or a street rather than in the hand. It is produced on wide-format equipment, and the material is chosen for where the piece will stand — indoors or outdoors, for an afternoon or for a season.
Because viewing distance is long, artwork for large format is prepared differently from print held at arm's length: type sizes, image resolution and contrast are all set against how far away the reader will be.
