Offset Printing
Plate-based lithographic printing, where the setup is done once and then repays itself across a long run.
About offset printing
Offset printing transfers an inked image from a plate to a rubber blanket and from there onto the sheet. Plates are prepared once per job, so the setup work sits at the start of the run rather than being repeated for every sheet.
The same plates image every sheet, which is what keeps colour consistent from the first copy to the last — the property that matters most when a job is large or when a design will be reprinted unchanged.
Where it is typically used
- High-volume brochures and catalogues
- Company stationery programmes
- Magazines and periodicals
- Printed cartons and packaging
- Repeat reprints of a fixed design
These are common uses of the method rather than a fixed list. Materials, sizes and finishing options vary from job to job — tell us what you have in mind and we will confirm what suits it.
